Like other employers` companies, GEHS provides housing access assistance services specifically for government employees in national and provincial governments and related public organizations. The Government Employees Housing Scheme (GEHS) is a residential real estate assistance system that provides assistance to government employees for access to housing. All employees must first register with GEHS in order to access all the services they offer. All data provided by staff is confidential for the purposes of the system. In addition to the National Pension Fund (GEPF) and the public medical aid system (GEMS), the State, as an employer, manages a housing assistance system for workers (GEHS) to ensure that workers have access to decent housing on a sustainable basis.
